Daniel J. Luechtefeld, AAI, AIS, AINS
President
Dan handles production and oversees the servicing of accounts at LHG Insurance. He started in the insurance industry in 1995 completing an internship for an international brokerage firm based in Chicago, Illinois. The following year he earned his degree in Finance from Saint Louis University and began brokering commercial business. He is designated as an Accredited Adviser in Insurance as well as an Associate in Insurance Services by the Insurance Institute of America, and possesses licenses to work in property, casualty, surety, life, and health insurance. Dan handles risk management services for a wide variety of clients ranging anywhere from the construction industry to professional offices.
Karen Thomas
Account Manager
Commercial Lines
Karen handles the day to day servicing of accounts for LHG Insurance. Her responsibilities consist of marketing, making changes to, and correcting client policies, as well as providing certificates of insurance and assisting with questions in general. Karen earned her degree in Communications from Saint Louis University in 1999 and possesses several years of experience working in the insurance industry.
Kristi Luechtefeld

Personal Lines
Kristi joined LHG Insurance in 2010 as our personal lines insurance specialist. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and has many years of experience in the insurance industry, including previously managing the personal lines department for another agency. Kristi handles homeowners and automobile coverage for clientele, as well as several additional lines of coverage which fall within the personal lines arena.
Claire Vitale

Claire works to place competitive policies for our personal lines clients. In addition, she handles updates for existing policyholders and assists with questions in general. Claire studied at Columbia College and also has multiple years of experience working in the insurance industry.
